Classes for Children & Adults

Whether you'd like to learn to swim competitively or for recreation... to pass a swim test for summer camp... to pass a pre-employment test... to learn survival skills, using clothing as flotation device... or to be better able to enjoy the water with the entire family... Lessons from Swim Smart are the best way to learn!

 

Private Lessons:  $40/hr.  OR   Semi-Private Lessons:  $50 - $60/hr.
(2-30min. lessons, 3-20min. lessons or 1-hour)

Group Lessons:
(4 - 2 week Summer Sessions to choose from, 10-40min. lessons): $70
We can also schedule a time for your group:  scouts, daycare, Mom & Me, home school group, etc., to attend lessons at a time that is convenient for you. Fees will be determined by the type of lessons and number of students.

Swim Workouts:
There are no Workouts scheduled for 2012
Swim workout is an hour of swimming as if you were on swim team.  You will have an 1800-3600yd. workout including a warm-up, workout sets and a cool down. This is great for getting into or staying in good swim condition.  (Class Size – 12)

Stroke Clinic:
Monday - Friday: $25/ Session
Beginner Clinic is a good way to see if swim team is something that you would like to do this summer.  If you cannot swim 25 yards yet and/or have not learned all four strokes then you are a beginner.  There are 3 levels in the Beginner's Clinic, Novice, Intermediate Beginner, Advanced Beginner.  If you are a Beginner, you may not attend the Advanced Clinic.   (Class size - 15)

Water Exercise Classes$45.00/ Session
There are no Water Exercise Classes Scheduled for 2012
Water exercise is a low-impact activity that takes the pressure off your bones, joints and muscles. Water offers natural resistance, which helps strengthen your muscles. You can even do water exercise if you don't know how to swim.  Tankinis are fine- Bikinis are not-One piece suits are the best. You will need water shoes, and you may also like to use water weights or water gloves.  Kick boards and noodles are provided.
Water Exercise is especially suited to:
• people attempting to regain strength and flexibility after an injury or surgery,
• sedentary people just starting an exercise program,
• individuals wanting to lose weight and gain muscle tone,
• fitness enthusiasts and athletes seeking to maintain or increase their fitness level

Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification Classes   $185.00
(includes CPR for the Professional Rescuer & First Aid and AED)  
Participants must be 15 years old (on or before the last day of training) or older and able to swim 300yds. consecutively using the freestyle and the breast stroke.
